Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (transl. Big Master Little Master) is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language science fiction action film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Zafar co-produced the film alongside Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Himanshu Kishan Mehra under the banners of Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles, with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, Sonakshi Sinha, and Ronit Roy in pivotal supporting roles. The story centers on two ex-soldiers racing against time to thwart a vengeful scientist's plot to attack India.
Announced in February 2022, principal photography for the film began in January 2023 and concluded in February 2024. Filming locations included Mumbai, Scotland, London, Luton, Abu Dhabi, and Jordan. The soundtrack was composed by Vishal Mishra, with the musical score by Julius Packiam. Marcin Laskawiec served as the cinematographer, and Steven H. Bernard handled the editing. With a budget of ₹350 crore, it is among the most expensive Indian films ever produced.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was released on 11 April 2024, coinciding with Eid. It received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics and was a box-office failure.
Plot: A masked assailant ambushes an Indian convoy carrying a deadly weapon. The assailant reveals his role in the weapon's theft to the Indian Army, indicating an urgent threat to India. Captain Misha Kapoor meets an agent in Shanghai who warns her about the theft before being killed by another masked attacker. Misha pursues the attacker and engages in a fierce battle, managing to impale him with a sharp weapon. However, the attacker heals instantly and escapes. Misha reports the incident to Colonel Azad, who instructs her to keep the matter confidential and recruit court-martialed soldiers Firoz (alias Freddy) and Rakesh (alias Rocky) for a critical mission to save India.
